CLASSROOM TEACHER

Health Careers High School, San Antonio, TX │July 2013-Present

· Prepared, organized, and implemented curriculum based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

· Offered differentiated instruction for 175+ students each school year in English II P-AP, English IV, and Advanced Placement Art History.

· Collaborated with faculty and staff to develop creative learning strategies.

· Acted as the Class of 2017 sponsor, fundraising and organizing activities for class morale.

VOLUNTEER & SEASONAL EMPLOYEE

Fiesta San Antonio Commission, San Antonio, TX │February 2013-April 2016

· Served as a consultant for the Miss Fiesta San Antonio Pageant and Scholarship Program.

· Helped organize events for the membership board of Fiesta San Antonio.

· Acted as a liaison between customers and participating member organizations during the week of Fiesta, which has an economic impact of over $300 million dollars on the city of San Antonio.


RETAIL MANAGER

Air Force Officer Spouse Club, Washington DC │January 2011-September 2012

· Oversaw the complete daily operations of the AFOSC retail store.

· Supervised a team of employees and volunteers in the execution of routine sales, merchandising, and customer service.

· Completed and presented monthly financial statements to the AFOSC Board of Directors.


MARKET RESEARCH ASST.

Marine Corps Community Services, Japan │January 2008-March 2009

· Researched market conditions across Marine bases on Okinawa, Japan through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

· Analyzed and interpreted all collected data into official American Customer Satisfaction Index reports (ACSI), which were then briefed to the MCCS Executive Board.

· Presented a weekly resource brief to the 300+ active duty Marines and families, informing them of the products and services available through MCCS Okinawa.

CLASSROOM TEACHER

Central Catholic High School, San Antonio, TX │November 2005-July 2007

· Developed a rigorous classroom environment to meet the College Board’s Curriculum for Advanced Placement courses.

· Placed a strong emphasis on proficient reading and writing by encouraging self-awareness of the cognitive process.

· Instituted the groundwork for professional and academic communication by emphasizing expository, analytical, and persuasive writing.

· Encouraged students to move beyond programmatic writing approaches and begin developing rich and complex prose to effectively communicate with mature readers.
